In recent news, another US organisation has declared the SEC "unlawful" in it's actions, particularly pertaining to crypto. Of course we all knew this already, but it's good to hear an official establishment body admit it.

One could be forgiven to believe that Gary Gensler and the SEC were set up just to pursue crypto. That's not the case. Their jurisdiction is across the entire financial spectrum. However Gensler has laser-focused on crypto for quite some time. Funny thing is, when he was appointed chair, there was some excitement in the cryptoverse since he used to teach the technology prior. He was perceived as "a crypto guy - one of us" at first before he pulled the daggers out haha.

Anyhow, because of his actions, and the general unfavourable conditions in the US, many crypto projects and personalities are exiting fast in search of better environments. The US is still ahead, and the primary country, in terms of blockchain tech and innovation, but that is changing fast! This is mostly thanks to the governmental bodies such as the SEC making life extremely difficult for them.
