THE MONSTER OF DISCO FELT DIFFERENT
FROM ALL OF THEM
DIFFERENT AND DISCO-NNECTED...
The Monster of Disco

and adding color to the world

The Other Monsters
They can be divided in different groups:
THOSE BASED ON OUR EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS:
Take, for instance, The Monster of Loneliness:
UNHAPPY (SELF)PITY DAY
The Monster of Loneli Ness,
sometimes known as 'Lonely Nessie',
was throwing a pity party for itself
on a daily basis.
It was raining and there was no cake.
And,
as you might have guessed,
no one was invited...
Even the thoughts running through this monster's lonely brain were se pa ra ted:
Nobody loves me
I hate the world!
No one has time for me!
can anyone hear me?
Why me?
Why do 'I' have to suffer so much?
I feel so freaking alone...
What's the point of this all?
and so on and so forth.
Monsters of Nature:
The Parasites
sometimes known as 'stick figures'
often attractive or cute ( in an ugly kind of way ) but deceiving
Creatures that steal our energy
and sabotage us.
We can choose,
whether we feed or starve them
Feed me crap
so I can steal your energy
and give you pain and suffering
in return
Feeding the parasite
starving the parasite
How much power do you give your parasites?
Let's Move on to the Stick Figure(s), a sometimes deceivingly cute parasite
Stick Figure #1
S(t)ick and stuck in a glass jar:
cause parasites tend to deceive.

The Parasite Song Book:
THE SONGS
(sung by the ‘Parasites at the Disco Light’
who sometimes roam the streets at night
stay in the darkness
and aren’t that bright):
We want to be
like the Monster of Dis-CO
to dance and sway
like there is-no
Tomor-ROW
instead of drowning
in our sorrow
We need
to feed
on its energy
we know no other way to be
Stick Figures ( Parasites )
caught
and taught
to (pole)dance
and work on their own energy
The different types:
There’s those
who make you sick
just wrap around the stick,
cling to it tight,
choking it
with all their might
taking
not giving
like a true parasite
choking the living
and stealing their light
AKA ‘They-make-me-sick!’ figures
Some of them just deserve to be
in a bottle used for (my) pee
perhaps I’m being too nice
my elixir
could be an energy fixer
Should I leave them to their demise?
Be aware!
of the parasite
it likes to scare
it likes to bite
just make sure
to not give it your light
your energy is its battery
don’t feed it
don’t try to beat it
just let it be
let it swallow
in its misery
S(t)ick Figure
Stick figure #1
is not on her stick
I hope she’s hungry
and not really sick
Perhaps she’s just enjoying the view
through the glass
she’s sitting first
not working class
at least
not among the beasts
whose shit smells the worst
lurking in the grass...
Or did she wish she could be
with the other three
in the jar
next to har
that is meant for (my) pee
be with the other parasites
far from paradise
drowning in sorrow
not light
left
(not right)
to their own demise
SITTING DOWN WITH THE (OTHER) MONSTERS:
After having danced for a while.
The Monster of Disco actually managed to sit
with the other monsters
for a bit,
acknowledging them
and listening to their stories
They were allowed to be around,
just like him
It was important though
to not pay them too much attention
and to not take things personally
( so as to not drain his energy )
All of this monster meeting
happened over a bear or two
( yeah, you read that well: a ‘bear’ )
All of them deserved some attention,
every now and then,
even the bears.
If it could only disconnect from these voices for a while…
(pole)dancing and DJ-ing helped
as did swimming in cold, natural water
but that would be a different story/ book
IDEA:
The Monster Meeting
is kind of like an AA meeting
My name is …
and I am a monster
Thank you for sharing your story with us ...
It was almost as if the monsters changed into their polar bear opposites, suddenly saying kind things, like:
“You’re right”
and
“you did/you are doing great!”
all of a sudden paying compliments.
Even the Monster of Fear,
had changed into a calming voice/ force
( as if it had stopped being afraid ):
“You’re safe.”
“Everything is fine.”
“No need to worry,
I’m here for you, whenever you need me.”
This is the effect that The Monster of Disco has on other monsters, once it starts working its magic.
What if the monsters are mere colors
or become invisible
once The Monster of Disco is in the Flow?
Things become blurry
he can’t hear their complaining,
their nagging, begging, fearful, sad, angry
voices, any longer.
The other monsters merge with the lights
and their voices mix with the music.
