Something I don't think many are aware of and a discussion about a viewcounter recently sparked my interest to look into it since I don't really post that often lately to think about checking, is that

I guess they didnt like people pointing out they were getting 9 views with 138 upvotes and a pay out of 9+ bucks. None of the problems ever get fixed, just hidden. Just like the flag counter and everything

The view counter gives me a disturbing and unpleasant realization. I don't need the few bucks and I haven't taken any out, I was really hoping for readership. Perhaps my fiction writing is not as good

Can anybody tell me the meaning of this new icon (or eye-con) at the bottom of any article posted on Steemit as well as the meaning of the number next to it? I have been carrying out a search on the Steemit
