#steem-ecosystem

Steem, SteemPower, SBD, Steemit and SmartContracts Picture To begin there is Steemit the decentralized application hosted on the Steem blockchain Chain, Steem the cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, SteemPower

Thinking at the potential of Steem, and even that we are only a little over two years into the project, on a highly vanguardist domain of the blockchains, we can consider ourselves early adopters of Steem.

Let's do this simple exercise, and attempt to answer a simple question: When You Say Steem, What Are the First Things That Come to Your Mind? If you are not familiar with Steem, the answer can be... nothing

Let's start with the basics. Steem is the public blockchain which makes everything we talk below possible. Steem is also the ecosystem, containing everything, from the blockchain, the decentralized

Three sure things Steem competition doesn't have at the beginning are: a working product with a track record the user base, which is more than that, a community, with sub-communities a thriving ecosystem,

This is the second post of the series. You can see the first one here. When I chose the name for the series, I meant it as a way to describe the possible use cases of Steem beyond blogging and social media,

All minnows dream to be whales. Ok, I know it's not good to generalize so let's just say most minnows dream to be whales, instead. Funny thing is, while there's a great thing to dream big, it generally

At the beginning of Steem (and Steemit), things were pretty straight-forward. You wrote something, if people appreciated it, they upvoted and you (and them, as curators), received rewards from the rewards

As I woke up this morning I had a surprise when I saw Steem and SBD prices have surged. I first saw why on @dragosroua's post and then went to the source and read the technical post too, which included
