To start with, we left home early, but the bus took a long time to arrive, and then it moved slowly until it filled up with passengers. These shows usually start on time, and that had me stressed out as I saw the time ticking away, but when we arrived, the line to get in hadn’t even started yet—it was long—so I hurried to the box office, but to my surprise, they weren’t selling tickets there. 😵‍💫😱 I felt like dying; however, the same people told me there were scalpers. I approached an older woman selling tickets at the entrance; they were priced at 7€, and she asked me to pay in cash. 😔🙃 I didn’t have any euros, dollars, or even bolivars. 🤭 I was planning to pay with my card, but I didn’t have enough data on my phone to make a mobile payment either. Just when I thought all was lost, I ran into a friend who helped me out, and we managed to get some excellent seats up close for a great price of $5 each. Everything was wonderful; there were many schools participating—13 or 14 in total—and they all put on two performances. I thought it was just ballet, but it wasn’t; there were dances, theater, thought-provoking messages, live music, and emotions at their peak. The whole event was supposed to last two hours, but it started at 5 p.m. and ended at 7:40 p.m. When I left the theater, it was nighttime, and I realized how much things had changed—the main avenue was deserted, and there wasn’t a single public transportation vehicle in sight. I’d been worried about the time since 6 p.m. and was trying to relax, but seeing how deserted everything was, I got stressed out all over again. I started walking as fast as I could. On top of that, I was responsible for my aunt. So I did what I always do in moments of desperation and started praying 😅🙏. Some angels appeared and lent me their cell phone so I could call my dad. We took shelter in a safe place, and he came to pick us up—annoyed, but he made it. We got home around 10:30 p.m. I was anxious because I had to help my mom wash my grandmother and put her to bed. At the end of the day, when I sat down, I felt grateful for the beautiful experience and happy that my aunt was in good spirits—she was trying to stand on her tiptoes and spinning around while we waited for someone to come pick us up. But I think the added stress caused me to notice something concerning in my body.
