All of the photos in this set were taken on May 16th, 1962 at the civic center in Lansing and are labeled 'Senior Cit State Get Together'. Apparently this was some kind of convention for senior citizens.

Today I walked through New Westminster during BC Recovery Day and came across something that stopped me in my tracks — a tree, strung from branch to branch with hundreds of paper hearts, flowers, and stars.
