So after modifying the case of the K40 laser cutter, I have to start reinstalling the guts.. Reinstalled the power supply - need to tidy the wiring stil The gantry is now back in the machine The Holgamods

So installed the new Ikea legs to the K40 laser cutter.. Turns out my old short ones fit under the bottom box thingo as well! handy

I went to my favorite store, Paramount Browns to get some Aluminium for the next part of the K40 mods Here we can see the guillotine used to cut the 3mm flat sheet aluminium into the sizes that I needed.

I have a feeling that when I work on the bed side of things, I probably should clean up some of the messy wiring in here :)
