#hived

I've updated my witness to support hardfork 28. (For those who don't know, a hardfork is an upgrade to the blockchain network, essentially an update to the constitution of the network, changing the underlying

How to Bake a Raspberry PIe Dear Hive Community ❗ Thank you again for meeting us at HiveFest! Special greetings to everyone we had the chance to talk with directly, especially during our workshops. As

Finally back up and running after a bit of a fumble and issue with the resyncing of my hived witness server.. Would of had to completely resync from scratch regardless to do a app update so went ahead

Looks like my witness node needs an update and rebuild due to it being unstable at best and crashy at worst. Hoping that this rebuild and resync happens quickly so I can get back to producing blocks. Will

Above is a screenshot of my Dedicated HIVEd node syncing the old fashioned P2P way because for whatever god damn reason when I tried the faster resync methods they would always crash once up to head block

There are multiple ways of running a hived node. In this post we use docker compose for an easier setup. By default everything will be contained in one directory for easier management. Recently @gtg also

leave it to me to start my HIVE node resync, totally forget about it assuming it's gotten up to normal chain block height, only to realize that the damn thing crashed out mid resync and hadn't triggered

Had a nice (HORRIBLE) covid flavoured christmas here.. Finally celebrated xmas today as no one in the house was up for xmas stuff due to the cold/virus going around the house.. Of course I locked myself

Dude, where did my block go? It's official now, you can configure your hived node to get rid of some of the 490+ gigabytes of compressed block log burden. You can even shed all of it, but do you really

¡Hola comunidad!

Can't there be an alternative to this? I mean, by using inheritance or other abstraction to make the code more organized and less memory demanding when compiling. I know it looks like an exaggeration this

Yet another UI to visualize the network by the block

After a 30 hour or more resync my HIVE witness is back online. Looks like I lost a few bigger witness votes in this time but that is ok. I gotta get back to coding so jsut a short post, so that's all.

Title basically says it all. My dedicated server has been running for ~136 days straight and needs a bit of maintenance.. So I'll be disabling the witness shortly here and doing server maintenance in order

I believe HiveD should have an Ncurses version to manage the execution of this program.

This was filmed 2 months ago when I actually performed the upgrade and tuned the chip, however I'm releasing it today after the release of OneLoveIPFS v3. In today's video, we will be performing an in-socket
