It's official, no more wall.

Gutting old farm house

Started the process of eleminating the walls between the rooms and recutting in the steps to the second floor.

Rebuilt the frames over the windows and doors. Back to level once more.

Making some progress on the reframing. Had to lift one section an inch to get to level.

I started to fix the framing of the old farm house. The second floor is off level by about an inch to the center and the framing around the Windows is falling in. Here's my first window re-support. I'll

Crawl space supports and cross support is in and front of the house floor is level.

15 new supports in crawl space finished. Now only a cross support and its done. Please Lord, keep my back from breaking.

Taking off the old hardwood floors and exposing the old plank flooring. Would like to have saved the original floors, but there were too many stains.

I now have the new cross support beam in to take the bounce out of the floor in the back of the house. I secured the beam with hurricane braces. I have cut out and framed the new opening for the stairs

I finally was able to re-support the back of the farm house with 14 new boards. I also cut in and framed the opening for the new entrance to the basement. Believe me when I tell you, getting to level was

New roof finished this week.
