아이언 샷을 할 때 항상 다음을 염두에 두자. 클럽의 선택 : 클럽은 풀샷을 할 때보다 약간 여유있게 긴 클럽을 선택한다. 셋업 : 팔목과 어깨에 긴장감을 주지 않고 자연스럽게 늘어뜨렸을 때 공이 스윗스팟에 위치하도록 셋업을 한다. 왠지 임팩트 시점에 강한 스윙을 하면 아크가 커져서 헤드가 더 밑으로 지나갈 것 같은 느낌 때문에 팔의 긴장감을 주고 헤드를 약간

웨지샷을 할 때는 두 가지 이미지를 염두에 두고 하면 좋다. 칼로 베듯이... 하체를 가급적 고정하고, 큰 근육을 사용해야 정확도를 높일 수 있다는 것은 너무나 당연한 얘기. 그런데 이것보다 더 중요한 것이 결정적인 순간(moment of truth, MOT)에 머뭇거리면 안 된다는 것이다. 칼로 볏단을 칠 때 머뭇거린다면, 볏단이 두 동강이 날 리가 없다.
