Twin fawns have been coming all summer to the yard to nibble on some of the vegetables in the garden. They especially love to eat the hostas and blackberry bushes. The mother is foraging on the wild vines

This week and last we have been seeing a mother whitetail deer bringing her two fawns to our gardens for a snack. They are so small right now. We sat here and watched the two fawns frolicking and playing

And this time she brought back-up. Two little black tail fawns munching on the yummy apples. Hopefully one of those fawns turns in to a big buck. Love having these deer around. Photography by @sapper11g

Fawns’ lack of scent and coloration serve as protection from predators. Does leave their fawns alone for the majority of the day as they are safer this way.
