#drapery

Life Drawing Hi all, greetings! I tried a drapery sketching today. I don't know when last I did this kind of drawing but I'm pretty sure it's over three months now. Initially, I wanted to use a white cloth

This was a life study of a wrapper. I tried rendering those draperies well but my paper wasn't giving me a good middle tone or a good blend to the light and dark. I still did it anyway.

A bath in the Ganges is a purifying exercise for a Hindu; the women go into the water fully clothed. Witnessing these sacred baths is a poetic experience. Oil on canvas - Renaissance technique.
