FYI, PCR tests are way more accurate than rapid Covid tests or at home tests.

While you might get a false negative with rapid tests and at home tests, PCR tests as of January 2022 are almost 100% accurate! PCR tests almost never give a false positive either!

PCR tests are extremely accurate today and should be the first go-to if you really want to know if you have Covid or not.

This is because the genetic material of Covid is quite unique from that of a flu or cold, meaning that false positives are almost nil. With rapid tests you are more likely to get a false negative (meaning you have Covid but the test says you don’t)

Just saying, if you test positive it’s most likely you have it with either test. If you test negative with the PCR test you most likely aren’t infected with Covid, and if you get a negative with the rapid or at home test that has the lowest confidence interval and you could be sick even if it says you’re not.

Just wanted to give everyone the latest factual info as there’s a lot of fake news out there and it’s very confusing.

That said, PCR tests are extremely accurate today!
