'Delta Plus' to propagate quicker than 'Delta'

Experts in the UK say a new mutated form of coronavirus, which some call 'Delta Plus', could spread more easily than the common delta. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has taken this potential risk into the "investigation variant" category. However, there is no evidence that it will make the situation worse. Scientists are confident that the existing vaccines will still work well to protect people. Although regular Delta is still responsible for most covid infections in the UK, infections of ‘Delta Plus’ or AY.4.2 are on the rise.
