Corona Hand Sanitizer - at its best

I thought of this on a lark recently and it's been a big hit. I actually make my own hand sanitizer using this recipe featured in the video below and I dissolve a tablespoon of gelatin in hot water and mix it in to give it more of a gelatinous texture.

Homemade "Corona" Hand Sanitizer

You will need the following...

1) Empty Corona bottle - standard size

The way you empty this is you pop off the cap with a bottle opener, open your mouth, and pour it down the hatch. Then wash and rinse clean and let dry.

2) Soap dispenser nozzle: size 28-410 x 9 inches

It's a pretty standard size. I pulled this off an old shampoo bottle.

3) Clear hand sanitizer of your choice

Any brand will do, or you can make your own using this recipe. I just dissolve a little knox gelatin in hot water and add it to the mixture for added gel texture.

4) Yellow food dye

Just a couple drops oughta be plenty

5) Lemon Essential Oil

I prefer DoTerra and Young Living essential oils. 15 drops should be plenty. Depending on potency desired.

6) Wine bottle condoms

You can order these on Amazon. Good times.

7) Or...Press n' seal plastic

Super cheap. You can get this anywhere. The point is to press it around the top of the bottle to prevent leaking, since the pump dispenser is not designed to fit perfectly. Let's be honest.

you can see where I've trimmed the plastic right below the cap there.

The rest is pretty self explanatory

Just make the hand sanitizer, color it yellow, make is smell good, put it in the beer bottle, and cover with rubber or grippy plastic, poke a hole for the soap pump, and pop it on tight.

DIY recipe for hand sanitizer:

Make sure you follow CDC guildelines for alcohol to aloe or glycerin ratios. And I just add a tablespoon of dissolved knox gelatin for thicker texture to make it feel less liquidy.
