How do you go about obtaining no sugar ketchup?
All right, you decided to do the keto diet to lose weight.
You've read up on the whole thing and you're ready to get started like yesterday.
However, as you learn and roll through the grocery aisles, you slowly begin to realize that, day in and day out, we are inundated with products that contain the heck of a lot of sugar.
Most of us who grew up in Western culture have a special fondness for condiments that go great with our food.
There's only one problem: Most of those condiments that we buy in the grocery store contain a ton of sugar.
One of them, in particular, is ketchup.
As dumb as it may sound, this is a huge problem.
Why? We grew up buying the stuff in a bottle in the grocery store!
What's worse, there are little to no options regarding "no sugar ketchup" in the aisles.
I don't know about you, but I've never walked down the aisles and seen anything labeled "Keto Ketchup".
Where do we go from here?
Well, my loyal reader, all you need is a little bit of imagination and some willpower and you can make some great keto ketchup yourself.
The ingredients you need include:
1 1/2 cups of tomato paste
1/4 cup of water
4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of mustard
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves
5 drops of liquid Stevia
Easy directions:
- In a small bowl, you're going to add your tomato paste, water, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, cinnamon, garlic powder, pepper, cloves, and stevia.
- With a whisk, you're going to mix very well and you're going to cover and chill.
You now have your keto ketchup that you can add to your "no sugar" condiments collection and use for a variety of foods.
