Paragliding

Beautiful things happen when you are free.

sometimes i wonder where people shelter themselves. if you've been asked the question " is that like parasailing ?"
Please send this to them. 🙂

Paragliding is a recreational and competitive flying sport. A paraglider is a free-flying, foot-launched aircraft. Parasailing is a recreational activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a boat) while attached to a specially designed parachute, known as a parasail.

Learn it, live it, ......... LOVE IT ! 🙂

Paragliding is the simplest form of human flight, and fastest growing type of foot-launched flying. A paraglider is a non-motorized, foot-launched inflatable wing. It is easy to transport, launch, and land. ... You actually fly like a bird, soaring upwards on currents of air.

Paragliders also soar a bit more slowly than hang gliders, which makes it easier for people to learn to fly them. You might think paragliding is like parachuting. But there's one main difference. Paragliding pilots start on the ground with their parachutes already deployed, and the wind takes them up into the sky. Parachuters fall from the sky and deploy the parachute as they get closer to the ground.
.
Every pilot finds his or her way to paragliding in a different way.
Once a certain type of person sees free flight in action, a kind of alchemy happens: the idea of flying becomes a wild and restless imprint on the soul, cavorting through one’s head in a flurry of airborne daydreams, turning one’s eyes ever skyward.

The 3 basic principles are: How to launch, turn and land a paraglider. Hand brakes are used to control speed, elevation and direction with the paraglider. If however you do a Tandem Paragliding you are strapped to a Pilot and have little to no control over the Paraglider.

You must learn how to paraglide under the direct supervision of a certified instructor. Throughout the process of learning how to paraglide, you will work towards achieving different ratings.

Paragliding
also does not require much physical effort by the Pilot. Pilots change direction and pitch by pulling on the cords connecting you to the Paraglider, changing the wing shape and therefore how the wind interacts with it. It may sound mentally strenuous but it’s simpler than it sounds – and knowing how the glider will react to your input eventually becomes second nature.

Tandem paragliders, designed to carry the pilot and one passenger, are larger but otherwise similar. They usually fly faster with higher trim speeds, are more resistant to collapse, and have a slightly higher sink rate compared to solo paragliders.

Tandem flights are the sweet result of a simple recipe: a wing large enough to hold two people, an instructor and a passenger. Each person is seated comfortably in their own harness which are attached together, with the passenger in front and the pilot right behind.

Tandem flights are a great introduction into the sport, or just something exciting to do (similar to skydiving or bungee jumping, only the rush lasts for the entire flight — and you can be in control). Tandems are also useful for beginner and intermediate pilots to brush up on skills, maneuvers, or thermaling technique.

you don't have to leave flying to your dreams. You can do it while you're awake.
