A Beautiful Day at Captain Penniman's House
Fort Hill - Eastham, Massachusetts - Cape Cod
Captain Edward Penniman was a famous whaler back in the 1800's. In his day, it was possible to catch whales directly from the nearby shore. Penniman was a prolific whaler and often went for long journeys at sea. He took his wife and children along with him. Here is a photo of Captain Penniman's house that was built back in 1868. It's located on Fort Hill in Eastham, Massachusetts and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. As you can see in the photo, the house is a bright and colorful structure with very fancy details. It is protected by the Cape Cod National Seashore.
