It was a little too much like death
He breathed in a big breath
to make sure that his lungs were still working.
His eyes closed at maximum inhale and as he breathes out
he opened his eyes to gaze into the stars.
A part of him really feared his body would not withstand the night,
and that tomorrow would be an unreal reality.
But his skin instantly began thanking him for the darkness.
His pores seemed to sigh with relief.
Layers of his skin began curling upon themselves as his skin cells
confused by the constant daylight had forgotten how to shed.
The body needs consistent rest in darkness to rejuvenate and regenerate
but Nate Dielli could only feel the coolness of the moon as impending death
that would engulf him.
