Family trip pt.1

Well, after the disastrous ride up...we were excited to see everyone...and I do mean everyone! Not 30 minutes after our arrival at my husband’s grandparents’ house...his dad and stepmom arrived, aunts, uncles, cousins...you name it.
To day we were disheveled would be an understatement. A 15 hour car ride can leave even the most well put together person looking like a hot mess! Of course there was no time to freshen up! ( I may have stolen a brief moment)
We had so much to do in so little time! The first order of business was shirts...yes, I said shirts! The first family pictures since the great grandkids were born had been scheduled, and blue was the color of choice. My husband, myself, his dad, and grandmother all piled into the car and made our way downtown...to Kohl’s.
Of course the guys went off on thier own and I was left with dear grandma ( she really is a sweet lady) Her taste in clothes...well, let’s just say there is a definite generation gap! We finally settled on a nice button down, caught up with the men ( who still hadn’t tried anything on!) and made it out of there.

The whole time we were gone, the boys were playing with their (2nd) cousins ...having a ball!
You’re could hear organ music playing throughout the house. Laughs were ringing out, and a kiddy dance party was in full swing!
My heart was so full just watching the kids having such a blast. They got lots of hugs and love from cousins and grandparents!
We ordered Chinese food and just hung out as a family. Our youngest even crashed right in the middle of the floor! Lol. It was a great first day. BED1E597-7464-4B50-A8D2-54A835737FE5.jpeg
