The Nomads Bus - waking up with the sun (finally)

Hi everyone, after a couple of days of storm, meaning strong winds and a lot of snow, we finally woke up with the sun shining on our beautiful bus. One of the many reasons I like the winter and snow so much is the way nature always seem to be able to surprise you with a different feel and view every day! I just love the sight of the crazy ice cones on the side of the bus that have been formed during the night.

The Norwegians all say it has been the craziest winter in a long time and it just does not seem to end. Fortunately we came for the snow ;). The hardest part at the moment is to find wood for our wood stove. You would think that in the North of Norway it would be easy to find, but because the winter has been so extremely cold there is almost none left. We talked to a wood manufacturer and they said that every 4 days they sell all their 700 bags of 15kg in only 4 hours. Isn't that crazy?? Luckily we have found some locals who are willing to help us out for the time being and normally warmer weather should be coming quite soon.

Besides the small wood problem, we have a very interesting couple of days ahead...
Today we are going to pick up our new guests at the airport and it is a quite special bunch of people. We are welcoming a couple of people from the UK magazine Whitelines on board and a Finnish pro snowboarder Enni, who has just won an Olympic bronze medal! Very very excited to go snowboard with her!!! She will be pleased with the fresh snow, but more to come in the next days about our adventures in the snow.

Stay tuned!!
