These technologies have empowered consumers like never before, yet as the same consumers have recognised that perhaps their flight deals aren't the best, their Airbnb hosts aren't the most accommodating and their itineraries aren't easiest to navigate2.
Travellers worldwide have now lost faith in travel agents because of their poor services and trust issues. They now result to the "do it yourself" approach relying mostly on the internet to learn more about travel destinations. This is a major problem in the tourism industry today as most apps and search engines do not really provide the travellers their neccesary needs and wants concerning their destination. This is where the cool cousin project has arrive with a fully decentralized platform to provide a solution to travel needs of travellers while the also earn money.
WHAT IS COOL COUSIN
Cool cousin is a decentralized ecosystem that is built to help travellers enjoy fulfilled vacations in their choice cities around the world. It is a community of both cousins, pro-cousins and the travellers. The cousins are locals in the various cities who may have grew up in these cities and have full knowledge about the city which include city attractions and local hangout spots. Travellers certainly could not locate these spots owing to the few days or weeks they would be spending in these cities. But with cousins they would have a feeling of every bit of the city and the memories of each trip would last a lifetime. The community also consist of pro-cousins who are like travel agents.
They are verifiable travel experts and their activities are closely regulated and monitored in the system. Users are travellers who surf through the cool cousin ecosystem looking into cousins profiles and checking places on their maps that suits their interest. Users may also choose to message cousins to ask direct questions making needs clearer to the cousins. The cousins collaborate with the users in crafting a trip that is tailored to their wants and needs. Cool cousin have been in existence since 2016 but now with the help of blockchain technology, the company has gone fully decentralized to help the community to regulate it self and ensure that users are not manipulated. By clearly stating promotion data from organic. Also making sure that each location added is verified by the governing board which includes top cool cousin users who have stake in the cuz ecosystem before its accepted. The board also solve problems in the community and discuss the progress. It is fully decentralized and the company which consist of the developers, designers and marketing leaders do not have total control. Also profit from fees are share between the company and the cousins.
