RE: Bitcoin vs S&P 500

Good concerns. If a cyber attack happens, or an exchange gets hacked, my bitcoin is safe, because most of it is in paper wallets. If the internet goes down, when it comes back up, bitcoin is still there. If there is an EMP and it wipes out all technology, bitcoin won't be all that disappears. Guns, grains and God will be your best assets at that point!
The crypto market is not even a fraction of the alternative investment market. We have a long way to go before we even wet the appetite, let alone saturate the market.
I agree with you about the way the government has destroyed the physical metals market through paper market manipulation, and manipulates the stock market through derivatives and the Fed creating money out of thin air. With crypto being decentralized, it can hopefully offer us an alternative to the centralized, manipulated house of cards we currently call a financial system. Time will tell!
