OK, I know that saying “The Best Beer in the World” could be a little of a stretch. However, trust me, this Beer can battle any other beer in the world for a run to the title.
I’ve had this particular beer since I was sixteen years old. It’s the most famous beer in Bolivia. You can get many variations under the Paceña brand. You have Centenario, Pico de Oro, Pico de Plata, Huari, Light and Sin Alcohol (Noooo please!!!!).
The name "Paceña" makes reference to a female native of La Paz; the male counterpart would be "Paceño". Those Paceños are great people! :)
The one in the picture is Paceña Centenario served in a Chopp, or beer from a keg in a big beer glass. This type is usually served at bars. The alcohol level is a moderate 4.5%.
