Native bush foods enjoyed by the Gumbayngirr people for hundreds of thousands of years
They have a small purple berry that when dried you can put in a pepper grinder and use as regular black pepper. The leaves are also edible and yummy in soups or stews
Excellent traditional medicine for colds or coughs

They are indigenous to the Dorrigo Platau area (dandarrga in Gumbayngirr language) the dried pepper berries sell for $80a kg
