'Baby Sea Urchin'

This is not a setup. I've found this baby sea urchin living in the dead shell by pure chance. After a successful photo shoot, I returned it back to the same place where I found it. Sometimes nature surprises me. I would never expect to find this combination, but I did. As this whole thing is not more than one inch long, I took the photo with a macro lens.

The scene is lit with natural light but something seems odd. I wonder if you can feel it? I've put the object in a place where natural light was reflected from a surface, thus creating the fill-in effect. It is an easy trick one can use if the location permits.

Colours are subdued with the dominant green but still quite balanced. I like the blue in the reflections on the sea urchin. It gives more depth to the entire composition.
