The Art Of Stone Balancing And The Secret Behind This Amazing Phenomena

Michael Grab is an amazing artist who has developed a very particular set of skills by spending many hours meditating in the woods and collecting stones in all different kinds of shapes and weight, he managed to master the "art of balancing stones" in such a precise way it almost seems unnatural for our minds to perceive. It is a very delicate process that involves alot of patience, breathing techniques, unshakeable hands, adaption and many other skills.

Besides the fact that it al seems like a BIG illusion that somebody wrote in a fiction story, we are luckily that Michael wants to share his knowledge with us by explaining his secret behind the art of stone balancing.

“The most fundamental element of balancing in a physical sense is finding some kind of ‘tripod’ for the rock to stand on. Every rock is covered in a variety of tiny to large indentations that can act as a tripod for the rock to stand upright, or in most orientations you can think of with other rocks. By paying close attention to the feeling of the rocks, you will start to feel even the smallest clicks as the notches of the rocks in contact are moving over one another.” - Michael Grab

The first time he started to experiment with his rock balancing was in the summer of 2008 when he was at the Boulder Creek in Boulder, USA. From that moment on he simply developed a curiosity that came natural for him. He quickly noticed about the unique side effects that challenged him both physically and mentally.

“There is nothing easy about it. It can frustrate me to my limits, and then I learn. Or it can reveal magic beyond words, and I learn. Sometimes the rock wins, but most of the time I win.” - Michael Grab

With all the positive influences rock balancing can have on your personal life, as explained by Michael himself. It is certainly something that many other people could use to express themselves in a creative way that could reduce stress and it's totally free of any costs. It is also a great way to reconnect with nature and that is something valuable that most people seem to forget once in a while, go out there and enjoy that fresh breeze of air you definitly won't regret it for a moment!
