It took me a while but I have finally watched the most successful anime movie of 2016, Kimi no Na wa(Your Name). IT WAS A CLASSIC AND DESERVES TO BE UP THERE

Your Name is a 2016 Japanese animated drama film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai and produced by CoMix Wave Films. Based on his novel of the same name published a month before the film's premiere, Your Name tells the story of a high school girl in rural Japan and a high school boy in Tokyo who swap bodies.

I always wondered what the hype was all about, but when I watched it, I understood. There's a depth to the plot, with rich creative culture. The scenery and animation are breath taking.

The story dives into the life of the two main characters who live in completely different worlds, they grew up in completely different environments and both were fed up with life. They also both have completely differernt personalities, which makes the story fit like a puzzle. From their first appearnce both characters seem to be chasing after a new life, trying to find a place where they belong. And after they switch bodies, and it occurs multiple times, they focus their search on eachother. After agreeing to help and maintain eachothers lifestyle without tempering and making things go awry, they end up making eachother's life more successful and better. This leads to a bond that draws them closer to eachother in which they cannot explain. They search and search just to even find the minimum thing about eachother leading to the question "YOUR NAME"

Your name, shows how something beautiful can also be disastrous. And how hope and preserverance can lead you to your goal.

In the end, the thread (I call faith) helps them find each other, even when the only thing attracting themselves is the longing and hole in their heart
