Comic book Dutch!

I love my comics... but I try not to spend too much money on them... seeing as my kids needs stuff too... and I would rather buy electronics, games or gadgets! So, this means that I end up buying anthologies and combined editions rather than purchasing comics piece by piece... Sure, I would really love to do that... but it is not currently the top of the list use case for disposable income!

This means that trips to the library with the kids is as much a moment of excitement for me as it is for the kids! Whilst they go and look for kiddie books or other stuff... I'm browsing the comic books section! For better or worse (actually... for better...), all the comics are in Dutch... which means that it is also a nice excuse to brush up on my Dutch reading and comprehension skills as well... although, I'm not totally sure how much crossover there is with comic book vocabulary and everyday street Dutch... perhaps it is more akin to governmental forms and corporate speak?

Last time I posted about this, I had started the first book of the Wraithborne saga.... but I was limited by the number of books that I could borrow on one card.... sadly, my kids ALSO wanted to borrow books... and so I had to leave the rest of the saga behind (... I also had to skip the Yuna one as well...). However, this time... I made sure to only go with my toddler... so, she could max out her borrowing limit on her card... whilst I maxed the borrowing limit on my older daughter's card!

Okay, I'm not a completely terrible father... I did also get a couple of cool comics for my daughter, which she loved.... but I did definitely take the chance to get the comics that I wanted to read as well!

So, let's see how my Dutch holds up to this... at least there are pictures!
