River Crossing


Adventures in climbing don’t always involve going up (and back down). Some of the best areas are off the beaten path for the casual hiker and more extreme measures must be taken to reach the desired crags.

A Tyrolean traverse is needed to cross over open free space between two points. A zip-line is a common example. Often in rock climbing, the traverse is moved across a rope using the strength of the individual, rather than gravity.
