Who’s idea was it to take the day off work and do a 5K Fun Run?? Thanks for volunteering me Mama-Splatts. :wink:wink. Actually I really enjoyed doing this last year with @lil-splatts and I was happy to do it again.

Just like last year, Mama-Splatts and I showed up later than the others. We weren’t late by any means but late enough to miss out on the Fun Run shirts.... again. 😢😢. Oh did I forget to mention that every year the Elementary School does a 5K Fun Run??? The older kids get to run around the town while the younger kids stay and do laps in the school yard. Of course parents are invited to run with the kids or help with distributing water and guarding the crosswalks.
It is quite the operation let me tell you what. A few hundred kids under the age of 12 running all over the place. It’s great to see so many parents willing and able to help out and show support for the school and the kids.
I ran with @lil-splatts and Mama-splatts ran with @kuku-splatts. We had already cruised over and got our popsicles, then made our way over to the finish line to meet up with Mama-Splatts and @kuku-splatts.
And yes, I did say popsicles. All you had to do was present the people at the table with your time slip and BOOM you get a refreshing popsicle. @lil-splatts and I ended up with a time of 32 minutes and 45 seconds. Granted we didn’t run the whole way. We did more of a fast jog then walk. Lol
I was over 10k steps by 10:30 this morning, it I took it easy the rest of the day. You know just enjoying a Monday off of work. Lol
