This report is for yesterday, Tuesday October 15th 2019.
I will remember this day for the premiere night of the latest Slovenian motion picture Preboj (Breakthrough).
Believe it or not, this is the first Slovenian movie describing the fight of Slovenian partisans in the liberation war after the year 1980.

The story of the movie tells about the struggle of 500 partisans trying to escape from the circle of the 12,000 soldiers strong German forces. The battle is going on in the midst of the winter.
No food, no medicines, no ammunition, 24 times stronger and much better equipped enemy...
Yet, the partisans succede to escape. In the end, camaradery, trust, fight for the ultimate prize of freedom,... prevail.
The movie itself is very plastic with some explicit battle scenes. It shows what war really is. Atrocities of Nazi soldiers are shown as they really were.
This is the kind of movie that you don't forget. As we must never forget what the partisans fought for. They fought for our liberty as a nation, for the existence of our language and our culture.
This is even more important in the days when people on the streets of Barcelona are brutally beaten by the democratic police forces.
