Truth!
What is truth to you?
We are always quick to want to know the truth. It's very common to hear words like "tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth". Is there anything like the whole truth? Is truth divisible such that a part can be given an another part withheld? Truth is absolute. If it is diminished in anyway then it is no longer truth but something else.
Someone once said "tell me the truth and let me decide what to do with it".
Not all truth are pleasant. Infact whenever we ask for the truth, we have this fear within us, fear of how weighty that truth might be and how much it will affect the present situation. When the truth finally gets spilled, we break down and cry and some never recover from the shock.
Does this mean we should no longer ask for the truth? I dare not say so. Truth can also be the reason why a situation is salvaged.
Why ask for truth when truth should be a quality, a way of life and not mere words?
Humans are so unbelievable and will always do crazy things. Instead of asking for the truth, I would say, look for that someone who will never intentionally do anything to hurt you. Find that someone who will never intentionally do to you what you wouldn't do to them. Find that someone who will not intentionally do something that will need you asking them for the truth.
Did you notice I used the word "intentionally"? This is because someone who cares about you will never intentionally hurt you. Find that someone who will respect you so much, they think twice before making any decision. Someone who will never act inappropriately.
Yes, good people exist. Good people who will never cheat on you, take you for granted, get involved in one shady deal or the other or do something that will drag your name in the mud. If the kid they live contradicts your truth then they don't deserve you
Truth to me, is beyond spoken words. Truth is your personality, the way you act and the things you do. When you always act right, people will never doubt a word that comes from your mouth. Truth isn't "Yes I did it" when you know you aren't supposed to do it. That's a convenient response after you've been caught in a lie.
Show me your truth today.
