Summary
Apple is working on a smart speaker called HomePod. It shoud rival the other smart speakers such as Amazon Echo and Google Home.
The HomePod runs on a A8-chip just like the Iphone6 and it can calculate how music sounds in a particular room and it can make adjustments based on that information. There is the possibility to buy more and let them work together in different rooms or in the house.
It also has the built-in assistant Siri which you can command by saying 'Hey Siri'. It allows a particular number or radio station to be requested. Also, questions can be asked about music, such as who the drummer is in a particular band. The HomePod microphones must also be able to understand voices when people are far away from it.
Smart assistant
Besides being a music player, the HomePod also works as a general assistant. For example, he can play news and provide updates about weather and traffic, and managing smart household appliances.
Review
The Design doesn't really cut it for me, I find it too simple in my opinion. I also think that the personal assistant will become a problem when your native language isn't English. The adjustment in sound can be great but I am hoping that you can overrule that.
