As it does every year, Apple held its annual event yesterday, September 9, where Apple unveiled its latest lineup of products. The event featured new versions of the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, along with Apple OS 27 Golden Gate across the lineup, which is available from 14 September.
Everyone's focus was on Apple's foldable iPhone, which Apple introduced as 'iPhone Duo ', which is Apple's first foray into foldable phones. The folding size is 19.26 cm, and the outer display size is 13.26 cm. It has 2 cameras in the back: a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera, and the front display has a 12MP Center Stage front camera. It has A19 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU.
Multitasking on iPhone Duo
As you know, previous iPhones don’t support a split-screen multitasking experience. However, the iPhone Duo changes that by fully supporting split-screen mode.
You can run two apps side by side on the same display, making it much easier to multitask, work with multiple apps, and stay productive. The experience feels smooth and intuitive, almost like using a PC on a large screen.
Upgraded Speakers
Apple has also added one more speaker in the new iPhone Duo.
While previous iPhone and iPad models typically use a two-speaker stereo setup, the iPhone Duo features three speakers, one speaker at the top and two speakers at the bottom.
This iPhone Duo should provide a more immersive audio experience, with better sound coverage and improved clarity.

This time, the base version of the iPhone, the iPhone 18, has not been launched in this event; instead, Apple has launched the first foldable iPhone, called the iPhone Duo. I think Apple's fans will be unhappy for this, iPhone 18 will launch later, on users' demand.
Apple also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max with a new A20 Pro upgraded chip 7-core GPU. Apple also introduced Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5, which Apple claims has up to 1.5x more Active Noise Cancellation than the previous generation AirPods
Apple OS 27.
Apple's new versions of OS 27: iOS 27, macOS 27, iPadOS, and watchOS 27 is also introduced, which is officially available from Monday 14 September 2026. You can still test iOS, iPadOS, and macOS 27 on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac pc as a beta test.

Congrats to iPhone 11 user, still your iPhone is still upgradable. It's good news for iPhone 11. It will also be compatible with iOS 27.
