¿Eres feliz sin usar el teléfono? | Are you happy without using the phone?
Hello, dear hiver!❤️
A few days ago I saw the news that Ed Sheeran, does not use mobile phone, and attributes to it that he is happier, as well as productive. Is this true?
According to the study by the Kent University in Ohio, people who use the phone constantly suffer from anxiety. Similarly, we can see various research on the subject.
The phones create dependence. And it is not for less, today we have to use them even to ask for the menu in a restaurant, a taxi, communicate with your family, take evidence of something specific in our work, and more.
Without realizing it, the mobile phone has become part of the human body, passing from one hand, to the other. But, really, can we live without him?
Today I bring you the notification that yes, you can. It is needed for everything today, almost as if people established it as a social requirement. However, Ed Sheeran has brought the opposite to humanity, not using it and communicating only by email. As if that were not enough, it only connects once a week, according to the confessions made in an interview.
"But he does not need the phone, he is famous and millionaire, he will not make great effect." There is also something true in this way of thinking. Although, all people can also apply it.
I have put it into practice. Spend 3 years without mobile phone. In part, due to the situation of my country, Venezuela. I could not buy one, so I began to give off the idea so that it would not generate frustration. I said: Then I will buy it.
Over time, I realized that it was not strictly necessary. I was born at the time of technology, so I have seen the evolution of everything, which seems fascinating. But in the process you become an addict to it.
Before that I could spend a whole day on my phone, more than all reading science fiction books, I liked them very much in my adolescence and part of the beginning of my adulthood. To the point of having the ability to finish a book in 2 days, taking a summary and personal ideas of each.
I still have it, and I checked it one day that there was no electricity at home.
It cost me to give off the idea of being checking the mobile phone. He did not receive messages, there were no calls, there were no networks to see. I lost the last fashion memes, no idea what had happened on the Internet.
My days consisted of what anyone would do, work, get home, talk, eat, sleep, watch TV.
The difference was remarkable. I talked more. And even, he felt good, there was nothing else.
I think I can't buy it with those years. My presence on the Internet was not so much. Now yes. However, something curious happens, that experience taught me something important: Do not hold on to material things that have no value in my life.
Currently, I try to grow in networks to be able to earn money as a content creator, both on the web2 and on web3. 100%online work. And this does not make me dependent on the mobile phone, despite having one.
I think that one afternoon with my family or friends is more valuable, before spending it on the phone like a zombie.
Social networks consume you, and even make you think of things that are not beneficial for you. They change your energy with bad news, comments, publications, reactions and endless ways of using your mind.
They show you "standards that you must meet", certain car, amount of money, house in a somewhere in the world, clothes of that or this brand, the phone of the moment, the fashion of such a thing.
And there we are, obeying who knows that through a screen. Good heavens! A week ago I was fashionable to wear ties, and now that fashion happened to start with metallic details. Something that "you need" comes to mind, but that you will discard in a couple of days.
With this I do not want you to believe that it only affects young people, because we are all in this package. Children, adolescents, adults, all. The human being is consumer, powerful people know it so they will look for the way you consume more, you don't need it.
So that mobile phones in 2024 are a shopping and sale showcase. Which makes us feel constantly dissatisfied. You want to travel like that person, have a certain crypt in your Wallet, the body of I don't know who... and, What do you want yourself? What are your internal personal goals that do not follow the standards?, Does the have?
It is good to give space to think about what we really want and we are, leaving aside technology, and concentrating on us.
So, I think it's a nice Friday for it. Are you happy without using the phone?
