I just received this box of 250 stickers from the good folks at Rockin Stickers. ...I won their Instagram “New Art” contest...
And this is its story:
The art was created originally for a lovely Cam Girl from Iowa (who looked me up on Instagram). She wanted a custom Venus Fly-Trap Tattoo. I made the art ... but I never liked it that much.
Regardless - I uploaded it to my Redbubble Store...

... and it sold 200 shirts in a matter of months. This design - commissioned by a cam-stripper ... and an illustration I had very little personal feeling for ... became my best seller of 2015.
Art is a very strange business. Something you LOVE and pour your heart and soul into might never sell a single print ... while something you make for a stripper can sell like hot cakes and win first place (out of over 600 entries) in a stickers contest. It’s a strange world.
