The Unity episode of Rick and Morty is absolutely one of my favorites. It’s imaginative, poignant, romantic, and, ultimately, nihilistic. Plus Sombrero Rick is classic. ... even in Black and White.

Ever since I successfully managed to infiltrate the pages of Dynamite Comics’ “Red Sonja” I have been attempting to do it again with other Pinup oriented comics ... hence the new-found interest in Vampirella.

I saw an illustration of Mickey Mouse ... and realized it was the EXACT pose used in an Aztec exhibit piece I had once seen. A bit of drawing later ... and I had this adorable little god of death.

I was working on a horror theme - and this is what transpired organically.
