Dear Hiveans,

I've just had some weeks of intense work with little time for writing here.

Today a short update on what I am doing:
As I am just preparing for the last exam of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), I have to learn much financial theory about stocks, bonds, options, mental biases, etc. Lots of fun 😬!

As I expect a deflationary shock this year (more on that in my next post) and as I want to combine theory and practice to accelerate my learning, I bought and am holding some options (put options on the S&P500 and call options on US government bonds). I have been doing this since last autumn and - up to now - I've just lost some money in option premiums 🤷‍♂ - either you earn or you learn 😉.

Adding to my posts on how to succeed on Hive (as e.g. here: @zuerich/recipe-for-success-on-hive), I want to share this interesting summary of the compound effect with you:

With writing daily on Hive you can reap multiple benefits of the compound effect, via:
- getting better at writing (especially through instant feedback)
- earning Hive Power which earns interest (a form of compounding)
- gaining followers which increases your range which increases your chance for retweets and in turn even more followers.

Ich habe gerade einige Wochen intensiver Arbeit hinter mir, in denen ich wenig Zeit zum schreiben hatte.

Heute ein kurzes Update, was ich gerade mache:
Da ich mich gerade auf die letzte Prüfung des CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) vorbereite, muss ich viel Finanztheorie über Aktien, Anleihen, Optionen, mentale biases, etc. lernen. Macht viel Spaß 😬!

Da ich dieses Jahr einen deflationären Schock erwarte (mehr dazu in meinem nächsten Beitrag) und da ich Theorie und Praxis kombinieren möchte, um mein Lernen zu beschleunigen, habe ich einige Optionen gekauft und halte sie (Put-Optionen auf den S&P500 und Call-Optionen auf US-Staatsanleihen). Das mache ich seit letztem Herbst und habe bis jetzt nur etwas Geld an Optionsprämien verloren 🤷 - either you learn or your earn 😉.
