Getting an education costs money but in this concept the money that can’t be used to buy other things. However, the money can be seen as an investment to build your understanding of certain concepts, and/or develop a skill set intentionally to prepare you to successfully navigate the world.

Which is the lack of knowledge or information (or in this quote, the opposite of education). when you lack knowledge or information, you are less equipped to effectively make decisions, than those who are educated on the topic. The effect however, results to poor decision-making, and can be very costly as an adult.
