How do you plant a pineapple? You chop off the top of a pineapple and put it in the ground!
The spiky green leaves will eventually grow into a bush and will spawn pineapple flowers. Once pollinated, those flowers will turn into a small red baby pineapple as shown below.
I captured this photo on a pineapple farm in Hawaii. It was taken on Velvia slide film using my Minolta Maxxum 7 camera. As before, this is a direct scan of the slide with no post-processing involved.
