This week I watched Vladivostok: Russia's New Eldorado (Vladivostok : le nouveau Far West de la Russie), an excellent French documentary from 2018, directed by Jerome Dion. Compared to San Franscisco, this military base city, with it's strategic location on the edge of Pacific ocean, is booming in recent years. There is wealth and development all around, but not for everyone.
