Hola hermosa comunidad de
@holos-lotus, Dios bendiga sus vidas.

Hello beautiful community of
@holos-lotus, God bless your lives.
Some time ago our friend @mllg motivated us to reflect on a topic entitled "Planning yes, but not so much" presented in her column "DESDE MI MAPA". Although I know that the column currently presents us with another very interesting initiative, I would like to share with you my impressions on this topic of planning since, due to some inconveniences, I could not present it before. Thank you in advance for your attention.
Years ago I read a phrase that said "He who fails to plan is planning to fail", this phrase was presented as the prelude to the explanation of the importance of planning. Undoubtedly, planning is important and the success of what we do depends on it because it allows us to be focused. However, it is always good to take into account one of the basic principles of planning, which is Flexibility. Planning is flexible, it admits changes because we are foreseeing future events and the future is uncertain, many things can happen, that is why even though we plan we have to adapt many times to changes.
In my teaching experience I have experienced many times that I have had to change the planned strategies, the event, the activities, in order to do a better job with the students, taking into account their motivation, the group's way of being, the environment, the resources or the individualities. What was planned may have worked well with one group, but not with another, and I have had to change everything to achieve a better, more successful result that allows me to reach my objectives. Likewise in life I have had to make substantial changes, not planned, yes, sometimes I have had to change some things, although the essence is the same, go ahead, move forward, achieve my goals, seeking or doing what is best for my family and for me.
Of course planning our life is important, even when not everything goes according to plan. At one point in my youth I decided that I was going to study first, get a job, then get married and have children. So I did, I acted according to the plan and for years the plan worked, but I never imagined that many things would change from the plan throughout my life, such as that the marriage would end in separation or that my studies and work would not be enough for me to survive, leaving me without telling lies only in the hands of divine providence. Thanks to God we were able to overcome many things and every day we overcame the adversities. Yes, sometimes plans fail or are restructured, but it is necessary to move forward, renew ourselves like the eagle and trust in God's plans for us, knowing that in his wisdom he can make all things new.
Sometimes we resist the changes that must be made in the plan not knowing that what is to come can be even better, as for example when I changed from ETC Pedro Arismendi Brito to another educational institution. Although I already had a change once, it was in my beginnings when I worked in a rural area for 2 years, in Tunapucito, at that time my oldest son was young, so from the beginning I thought about the change of institution to my city, it was what was planned and it happened. They changed me to Pedro Arismendi and I thought I would not change again because the high school was commercial, which is my specialty and I liked it.
After 16 years working at Pedro Arismendi, the least I could imagine was a change of institution. At first I resisted the idea of leaving my beloved high school full of so many experiences and dear people, but the economic situation of Venezuela, transportation and health (my arm) forced me to change my plans and let myself be guided by God's plan, because the doors opened for me to work in a high school near my residence.
I certainly do not forget my ETC Pedro Arismendi, I made very dear friends there of whom I keep the best memories 💓, we are still in contact, we even have a group because several of us made the change. But it is interesting the experience that came to my life after being in the new school, things as simple as enjoying walking to my work and get there quickly when before I had to take 2 cars there and 2 back. Also being able to be at home more, with my children, all this translates to peace, less stress and less expenses. I have also been able to share there with very nice people and new students who bring new experiences. The change has been good and I thank God for His direction in my life. It was not in the plans, but it has been the best.
Many plans are in a man's heart, but the counsel of the LORD will stand" (Proverbs 19:21) In the "God Speaks Today" version this verse says "Man makes many plans, but only the divine purpose is realized". Let us place our plans in God's hands, he knows what is best for us because he sees the end from the beginning. Sometimes we don't understand the plans, but let's trust, he will do.
Affectionate greetings, thank you for joining me in reading, God bless you always ❤️.
