Hello Steemit.
I'm Zoe, I’m 24 and was born in Venezuela. I'm the big sister of three awesome brothers (19, 12 and 3 years old). I’m also the girlfriend of a very handsome paladin. My mom chose my name long before I was born, and to spare you, the reader, the research, I can tell you it's a greek word (ζωή) which means "life". I'm studying Biology at the Simón Bolívar University (Caracas, Venezuela), currently in the last year. My passion and my field of interest is marine ecology, especially the study of coral reef communities. I found my path thanks to the university's Experimental Ecology Laboratory and the tutory of my dear professor Aldo Cróquer, and everything began in a field trip to the rocky coastline of Patanemo (Carabobo, Venezuela). Last year I had the opportunity to do the Open Water Diver course with Chidivers, an SSI Diving School here in Venezuela, and it was almost a religious experience because of the challenge it meant to me to overcome my fears of the sea. You may think it's kind of ironic that I'd chosen to work in marine ecology since I have fears of the sea. Yes, I say fears, in plural. I will delve into my special relationship with the sea in a later post.
Steemit is to me a chance to expand my creativity horizons, as well as an introspective exercise to deal with a lot of stuff I've been holding back. You, as a human, may feel related to some of what I have to say. So, I hope the community will enjoy my posts, and I'll see you steemers soon enough.
Note: Since I’m a non-native English , I’d like to apology in advance for any possible mistake in my posts. I’m open to your comments and I’d love to improve my writing.
