In the past one of my friend was feeling depressed about himself and he was saying that he does not wish to live anymore because he won't be successful. At that moment I asked him what does success means to him. He replied that having a reputed business and a big house of his own, luxurious collection of cars, a family where he has a wife, child and enjoying life together with them. When I asked him why he thinks like that, he said that's how he has seen people doing. He wants to do what his friends are doing or the celebrities are doing on social media. He is too much influenced by the social media people and the surroundings. He is unaware of what he wants the most.
After a while, he asked me the same question about being successful so I replied to him about my personal opinion about true success. I said life is a gift and a package of happiness. The media has portrayed that being wealthy and having expensive assets means successful. I feel that success should be something that is more achievable to all. Everyone has different perspective and I also did have the same thought before. I thought that only influencers or online content creators can be successful but that's not true at all. I should be the one deciding what should be my success.
Currently I am studying and I have plan to start a business of my own. It will be related to jewelry, I have so many things in my mind. I also want to learn piano and violin. I want to learn to speak few more languages and after I have achieved all of them I will consider myself successful. I am not going to be successful in someone else's standard. I know what makes me happy and that is achieving something that I want to do. I have many things in my wishlist so, I don't know when I can complete all of them but whenever I complete one of them it feels like a win to me. People need to learn to make their own path and not follow the path of others, just do what you like the most not what others like the most. I feel in this way anyone can find success in life. Because this is a great standard for being successful.
