So, when I discovered Ludo on HiveSuite I was delighted to find a game that I was already familiar with. HiveSuite offers 52 different types of games ranging from Chess to Solitaire. There are too many choices but I chose to explore Ludo first because I used to play this board game with my family.
To play you don't need any special ability to have fun together playing this game because once you keep playing you can truly enjoy it. Sometimes the game would go well and other times an unpleasant surprise such as a dice roll that would not give the desired result would occur. These situations were inevitable and part of what made the game enjoyable.
The opportunity of finding it on the internet made me relive the good old days but the only difference was that I no longer needed a physical board or a physical opponent. HiveSuite offers two different modes of play which are playing against bots or real players through Hive. This means that if I want to challenge myself by playing a one player game I can choose to do so and if I want to play a player versus player game I am able to as well.
I prefer being able to simply open the game and play without needing to spend extra time learning the rules because Ludo does not require a great level of effort and can be played within minutes. Despite this there will always be an element of luck and it is uncertain whether the player will be able to reach their winning square because although one can come up with a master plan one could also simply obtain a low dice roll.
There are 51 other types of games that I could explore on HiveSuite but Ludo was one of the few games that I was immediately familiar with. I used to enjoy playing it on a physical board but now I am given the opportunity to play it online as well which is something I appreciate.
Although I have not explored every type of game on HiveSuite I am content with spending my time playing this board game. Perhaps I will discover another game that I find more enjoyable but for now I am quite fond of it. I have been busy with my life so I've not tried any other games yet.
