I have been playing Ludo offline for as long as I can't really remember when I started playing because I love the concept of it. Four players can play at once just by rolling dice on that small board. And when I went through all the 52 games, Ludo caught my eyes first. And I didn't need to bother myself on what to click first. I am familiar with it long before the mobile version started rolling in in different ways.
Back then when I used to actively play it amongst friends, I remember the argument that could easily spring up over one small plastic piece. I could be moving closer to my home, only for my opponents to roll dice and land on me and send me again to where I started from. And all of a sudden, the person that I was ahead off becomes someone who I do much want to beat at all cost. I also saw this happen when I played with two bots on this site. In reality, we call it experience when luck turns in out favour and when it is against us, we take it like that.
And on HiveSuite, that similar familiarity was what caught me eye. Going through the plenty of games, some that I just saw for the first time in the mobile version, and some that I already know, chees, sudoku, Dino that I sometimes play when my browser network is off ,tetris, Tic Tac Toe that I used to play on a white paper with biro or pencil, snake from Nokia phone back then, all these amazing games feels like meeting someone we I grew up with in a different environment. And for all these games, I don't need to sit with the rules and start learning it over to enjoy it. I just need to log in my account and play.
What I obviously like about this is that a lot of games that I already know offline way back gatherings together feels interesting to be played online, especially Ludo. Though the board is on a screen now and I am playing against a bot, but it still comes with the same feelings when piece are captured and I send someone home or they send me home.
I also imagine if this can be paired with other players, maybe it will feel so interesting and entertaining as me sitting across from someone who insists that the move I took last was unfair.
Like I said before, Ludo is my go to in this site because I am already familiar with it and it does not bore me. Over time, I might explore and go through other games, but as at now, I already have a go to. If I open HiveSuite anyday, the number eight game on the games list already knows that I am coming to play.
