I looked at the rating of the most profitable crypto-currency assets at the end of 2017 and saw that bitcoin was only on the 14th place with the result of a gain of 1318% and did not even enter the TOP 10 crypto currency. At the same time Ripple XRP gave more than 36,000%, and NEM almost 30,000%. The remaining coins in TOP10 showed the following results

3 Ardor - 16809%
4 Stellar - 14441%
5 Dash - 9265%
6 Ethereum - 9162%
7 Golem - 8434%
8 Binance Coin - 8061%
9 Litecoin - 5046%
10 OmiseGO - 3315%

Obviously, holding bitcoin is, one side, the most reliable and less risky investment, and on the other hand, the freezing of capital

It is seen that the dominant bitcoin is reduced, and capitalization flows from the bitcoin into the altcoins. Of course, after correction, it is likely that bitcoin will continue its rally and there will be good growth, given the possible solution to the problems with scaling and reducing the cost of transactions in the blockchain. But I would like to see the capital gain depend on my actions

And if the whole year of 2017 I spent 90% on the bitcoin, investing in the mining of Bitcoins, 5% in alts and 5% in fiat money, then in 2018 I decided to revise my cryptoportal and make it more profitable, but also more risky. For 2 months of last year I did only X2, which means that for the year only X12, and Ripple meanwhile made X360. But my task is not to pursue superprofit, but to form a crypto-currency portfolio in such a way as to make X20 in 2018 and reconsider investments

I decided to leave 50% of the investment portfolio in mining and grow bitcoins. 10% of the portfolio hold in fiat money and increase Fiat. 20-30% of the portfolio to invest in ICO, crypto funds and possibly in HYIPs(just for fun, not recommended). And earned 10-20% of the portfolio of crypto-currencies to invest in trading with altcoins.
