Sunflower in my garden
Sunflower (Helianthus annuus l.) is an annual plant of the Cosmos caudatus-Daisy family (Asteraceae) that popular, either as ornamental plants or oil-producing plants. The flowers of this plant are very typical: a large, usually colored bright yellow, with a large flower head (diameter up to 30 cm). This interest is compound interest, actually composed of hundreds to thousands of small flowers on one package.
Sunflowers also have typical behavior, i.e., the flowers are always facing/leaning towards Sun or heliotropisme. The French call it a tournesol or "castaways". However, this trait was removed on a variety of new cultivars for oil production because takes a lot of energy and reduce your results.
