Google with yet another company acquisition and this time has purchased the popular GIF platform "Tenor".
The financial details of the acquisition are not yet known and that Tenor will continue to operate under its own brand.
Tenor GIF keyboard is the most downloaded app which is notably used in the Facebook messenger service while also compatible with almost all messaging apps on both the Android & iOS and even Desktop.
Tenor already has an impressive reach of 12 billion searches that had more than 300 million people as of last year.
This acquisition is further going to strengthen Google's grip on the market, by having Tenor bring in a lot more GIFs add to its vast internet searches and by offering ads as GIFs that will further increase their ads reach.
